Bristol Beacon Work Experience 2026
Bristol Beacon's Work experience week for 2026 will take place from Tuesday 30th June until Saturday 4th July running from 10am – 3pm each day.
Our Work Experience will be a friendly 5 day long week for 10 young people aged 14-15 in year 10. We hope to offer an opportunity to gain hands on experience and learn about Live Events industry.
During the 5 days we will:
- Give an insight into the Festival and Live events industry and how we run our world class music venue.
- Share knowledge about the different roles and opportunities when working within music and the arts.
- Offer hands on technical experience
- Take the group on a tour of Bristol Beacon
- Offer shadowing opportunities during our Ensembles event
- Work with a facilitator throughout the week to design their own event
Who can apply
Application criteria to ensure that we support those who have traditionally been under-represented in the arts to take up this opportunity.
We would ask that applicants meet one of the criteria below. The criteria is designed to help reduce barriers within the arts to those who might not have as much access to opportunities:
- Neither parents went to university
- Their household income is below £25,000 per year
- Their family receive Universal Credit
- They are currently in care or have been in care
- They are eligible for free school meals
- They have a learning difficulty (such as dyslexia)
- They have a disability*
- They are a refugee or asylum seeker
- They are a young parent
- They are a young carer
- You would describe yourself as having a diverse background – Bristol Beacon have a strong commitment to Equal Opportunities. *You are disabled under the Equality Act 2010 if you have a physical or mental impairment that has a substantial and long-term negative effect on your ability to do normal daily activities.
Two of our ten work experience places will be reserved for those who have a disability or learning difficulty.

If you decide to send us a video, please complete your personal, contact and criteria details and the Equal Opportunities Monitoring Form in the online application form and enter N/A in the ‘about you’ questions.
